Fly keeps following me?

Okay heres what happened. This last night there was a small fruit fly in my room that kept going around my laptop screen on which I ignored it. Then this morning as I woke I saw it again. When I took my shower it followed me to the freakin bathroom. Aftter I got out of the shower and did my hair it was still there. A couple hours later when I was giving my lizard a bath, I found the fly on the bathtub siding. It had water around it and kept wriggling to get out. Stupid me decided to save it, so I picked it up and placed it on a towel. After about ten minutes it started to crawl around the towel slowly. So I took it over to my kitchen and again stupid me placed it on a flat surface in my kitchen. AND then as I went to the couch couple minutes later it started to fly around me. So I went to my room where I sat for a couple minutes and I found it crawling on my arm. Then brilliant me took it outside where it unwillingly got tooken off of me and I placed it on a rock. So far I haven't seen it, wtf happened? Why the hel was it following me!!!
