Very active baby at scan?

Went for a scan with my partner at 10 weeks and the baby was very active, jumping about loads. My partner had another scan last week after the midwife sent her to the hospital with bad stomach cramps. The nurse said the baby looks healthy and the cramps were probably due to the womb stretching. My partner said the baby was still very active. Is this normal for a baby to be wriggling about loads?
